Overexposed Plate: Note bright lower left hand corner and streak through the center of print. Also noteworthy are the accoutrements of an artistic young lady seen in this picture: a tea serving set, parlor guitar, and violin.

Unidentified. A little house on the prairie. Note the hats lying in the grass in the foreground.

15_A21_Tents.jpg

Chicago and Eastern Illinois Railroad, near Sidney, IL. Tents and cabins for the workers on the C&EI.

16_10_Threshing.jpg

Threshing at the Fred Hall farm near Homer. Seated are Bill Heppe, Ellis Wilson, and Bill Green. John Heppe is in the engine cab, Joe Taylor drives the buggy and Ike Owens has charge of the wagon. This photograph was also published in Cornsilk and Chaff of Champaign County by Richard L. Morgan.

17_58_ Gerald House (1).jpg

Cottrel/Eaton/Gerald House, 101 West Prairie Street, Sidney, Illinois. This is the only picture in the original 210 negatives developed by Block that features snow. Lighting and exposure times became trickier in snowy conditions. The house was still standing as of 2020 but has been remodeled.
